Fashion photographer Paulo Filgueiras recently took to the streets of Manhattan to test out the capabilities of the new Sinar eMotion 75 digital camera back, and the Broncolor Verso A2 portable power pack. ”We covered a lot of ground,” Filgueiras explains, “and had to hit three very different locations on a very tight schedule.” The results speak for themselves: Stunning, vibrant fashion portraits with one of the greatest cities in the world serving as a backdrop.

I was shooting and evaluating my images on the fly, clearly and fast, with a 1:1 zoom display and customized white balance under a very bright sky. As I was darkening the sky for my exposure and bringing the Ringflash in, I was able to judge my color and overall desired dramatic effect on the back's 24-bit color LCD.

Out on the street it was grab and go; no need to worry about the power juice left on the eMotion 75, which made possible the dynamics of the shoot. The Back allowed me to shoot up to 250 images, and the 6GB hard drive and the CF slot allowed for another 8GB of storage.

Balancing the remaining daylight with the Ringflash and Broadway's neon lights was quick and easy. When I got back to the studio and opened the 190MB files, I knew the day had been a success. These were absolutely beautiful color images with consistent exposure.
